"Kensho Early Learning Centre
An auspicious beginning
KELC's first Centre opened on 11th Main, HAL 2nd Stage, Indiranagar, Bangalore on 6 October 2011. An elite gathering witnessed the inauguration on Vijayadasami, by Sri N A Haris, the honourable MLA of Shantinagar. Padma Bhushan Prof. N S Ramaswamy, Founder-Director of IIM-Bangalore opened the door of learning to tiny children through the Akshara Abhyasaceremony.
The guests at the function had the opportunity to listen to inspiring speeches by Mr. Haris, Prof. Ramaswamy and Dr Bharatchandran; all of whom exhorted parents to give children a holistic education not only to help them find a good career, but also to live a good life. We are living in the age of Knowledge; and as the old saying goes, Knowledge is power. However, it is not only academic or scientific knowledge that is important. Deep knowledge of the vocation that an individual is called to and the confidence to utilize ones full potential that is what will lead to a successful and contended life.
The Japanese word Kensho means finding ones true self or nature; and Kensho Early Learning Centre (KELC) is dedicated to helping children find their natural inclination and developing them for a successful life. The Preschool is equipped with trained staff, toys, and learning articles for children 6 months to 6 years through Baby Care, Play Group, Nursery, LKG and UKG. The Activity Centre will soon be announced with classes to develop artistic skills. KELC. Indiranagar centre is the first in a chain of preschools planned across India and the Gulf countries over the next year.
